Still Barrel Aged Sweet Ice Cider

Formerly known simply as Barrique, this barrel aged ice cider has always taken the seasons fermentations with the greatest presence and weight, very often richly sensorially concentrated. Then the barrel ageing deepens and concentrates the expression of the ice cider. It has a butter, toffee character with hints of orange peel, butterscotch and red apple.

The bigger 500L Stockinger barrels used give softer barrel notes than the smaller ones previously used, and often require longer ageing. Brännland mostly used barrels which impart slow oxidation rather than woody notes, and so Essence combines the magic of Stockinger barrels with something more elegant. Drink now or lay down to age for a decade or more. Enjoy with cheese, desserts with apple and berries, foie gras. Alc. 11 % vol.
