Crafted from 100% Franklin apples sourced from Eden Orchard, Cobble Knoll Orchard, and the original mother tree in Sandy Bay Orchard in Franklin, Vermont, this single-variety pet nat cider celebrates a remarkable story of discovery. First identified in 2008 as a chance seedling by Bill Mayo, the Franklin apple is renowned for its disease resilience, winter hardiness, and exceptional balance—offering a character comparable to the classic Kingston Black, but with a friendlier disposition. Naturally sparkling, dry yet fruity, and refreshingly vibrant, the resulting cider showcases expressive notes of pineapple, lemon-lime, and fresh hay. Bottled during primary fermentation without disgorgement from the 2022 harvest, it delivers a pure expression of craftsmanship that pairs exceptionally well with braised pork, rich savory dishes, and roasted autumn vegetables.
