An exceptional bottle & a gorgeous hand crafted ceramic creation! Those little extra touches, especially around the ritual of dining, can just make dinner even more enjoyable; not only does this set look lovely sat in the middle of the table, but also solves that problem of condensation from a cold bottle, dripping onto a wooden table, or tablecloth.
The large ceramic coaster (also doubles up as a small bowl or candle holder) comes from the talented hands of Lily Waite Ceramics: thrown in Staffordshire stoneware, in a food-safe glaze. These pieces can be put through the dishwasher, but hand-washing is recommended, as they are delicate.
And the accompanying bottle, Epergne Russet 2019, is The Fine Cider Company's collaboration with Little Pomona, of Herefordshire; it's the perfect pairing, as an Epergne is an ornamental centrepiece for a dining table, typically used for holding fruit or flowers! They came to prominence during the heyday of cider & perry in the 1700s, when cider was drunk from cider flutes, & it became titled 'The Native English Wine'. It tastes like a fascinating natural white wine; try pairing it with white meats, like chicken & turkey, or white fish, or soft cheese.
