Gregg's Pit sits in the village of Much Marcle, Herefordshire. It's home to the Gregg’s Pit pear, with the mother tree—the first ever of the variety—still standing today, more than 200 years old, & under the care of the wonderful cider & perry maker, James Marsden.
James presses all his fruit by hand on an old Forest of Dean stone press, while practicing an environmentally astute approach to his orchards, & a minimal intervention approach to his making.
